Decision Points for Integrating an AV/RF/IP Media System

February 20th, 2020

Course Description:

Designing an integrated AV application can involve evaluating whether the best solution requires AV/IP switching, digital RF, or IPTV. Analyzing which solution works best for the application is easier when you break things down to the fundamental, underlying technology for each solution. The goal of this course is to provide a decision matrix based on a basic understanding of media is originated, delivered and received, and what control platform is available for integration.

Participants attending this course will be able to:

  • Determine when a AV Switch, IP Switch, RF, IPTV or a hybrid RF/IP system is best suited for a project and know the pros and cons for each solution.
  • Understand how MPEG2, H.264, and Motion JPEG 2000 streams are processed and delivered.
  • Explain how multicasting works in a multicasting IPTV system
  • Plan for control of media receivers in an integrated media system

Participants should register for the on demand session and evaluation below. If you have any questions about this course you may e-mail us at [email protected].
