Introducing the IP-SDI 4i IPTV Decoder

Contemporary Research is happy to announce the release of the IP-SDI 4i IPTV Decoder. The IP-SDI 4i MPEG-2/H.264 IPTV Decoder is the solution for decoding IP streams for production monitors, switches, and video wall processors. The unit is part of a family of products from Contemporary Research that can be used to form an end-to-end IPTV distribution system. The unit is also compatible with many industry standard hardware and software encoders.

Known for exceptional quality and reliability, this decoder is compatible with unicast or multicast single program or multiple program transport streams. The IP-SD 4i will accept MPEG-2 or H.264 UDP and RTP IPTV streams encoded at resolutions up to 1080P 60Hz. A channel list of programs is uploaded from a PC running CR Toolbox software or RS-232 command. The unit may be controlled from the front panel buttons, handheld IR remote, on board web GUI, or external control system.

The SDI output allows pass through of 608/708 closed captioning data and AC-3, PCM, or Variable PCM audio formats are available for SDI, HDMI, and digital audio ports. Video output resolution can be set to auto or scaled to a fixed 1080p, 1080i, 720p, or 480i resolution.

The new IP-SDI 4i IPTV Decoder’s compact enclosure and included universal rack mounting kit allows mounting of two units side-by-side or single unit rack mounting.
