Display Control Solutions - Houses of Worship
How iC-Net Works | Sports Venues | Worship Spaces
Documents | Install/Design Tips
Over 10 years ago, Contemporary Research created iC-Net, the first display control network that communicates through the existing CATV cable system. There's no need to run dedicated control wiring to displays, and retrofits are a snap. A popular solution for sports venues, schools, corporate campuses, and entertainment centers, iC-Net systems are finding a new home in houses of worship.
For example, Willow Creek Community Church
in South Barrington, Illinois, employs iC Commander software and iC-Net controllers to manage over eighty TVs, plasmas, and LCD displays through the auditorium RF system. States Video Systems Director David Cooke, “Contemporary Research controls all the TVs that are receiving a TV channel through the auditorium’s RF (MATV) system.” In addition to twin 14' x 24' DiamondVision LED displays, a mix of baseband and RF-distributed video is sent to displays serving the lobbies, under balconies, front-row prompters, bullpen in front of the stage and green room. LCD TVs provide viewing for seatbacks, parents room and backstage, and other areas.
Today's worship spaces are becoming more video-centric, with live sermons distributed to TVs and plasmas to lobbies, nurseries, classrooms and extended viewing rooms. Sending video through switchers, baseband cables, and Cat5 adapters is expensive, so many are now broadcasting over an in-house CATV system. Unlike Cat5 video that requires home-run wiring, RF cable can send video to rooms using a simple trunk-and-branch method. Plus RF can send multiple channels in the same cable, so the church can add other live broadcast options - and mix in cable and satellite broadcasts.
The same RF cable that carries TV programming can also provide interactive iC-Net control to video displays and projectors. What can iC-Net do for you?
Best of all, iC-Net is an open-architecture system. That means you can integrate any make and model of video display or projector - in any mix. iC-Net controllers are available for Smart TVs, standard TVs, flat-panel displays, and video projectors. You can use to our iC Commander or iC-Web software solutions, or combine with your custom control system.
