VDC-EDU Classroom Integration System
Documents | Data Sheet

The Contemporary Research VDC-EDU is a fully integrated, compact classroom integration solution that mounts to a video projector pole. The system is easy to install and maintain and combines the benefits of video projector control, audio mixing and amplification, TV tuning, and unified IR control. All in a modular, compact set of components that mount directly to the projector pole, eliminate the expense of plenum boxes and wall panels, and offer several options for control and management.
The core VDC-EDU system includes:
- ICC2-VDC – integrated AV tuner, projector controller, and IR receiver
- PMT-1 – Mount attaches ICC2-VDC to projector pole
- IC-RC – IR remote for tuning, projector power and input, and volume control
- 232-Amp Mixer/Amp mounts to ICC2-VDC, adds 16/30 watt amplification and mono mix/ducking input
- Two or four SA615 wide dispersion ceiling speakers
- ICC2-ATSC for tuning both analog and digital TV channels
While the VDC-EDU system can operate in classrooms by itself, the facility can add centralized system management at any time by adding the optional DX-EDU Administration System that features:
- Control of VDC-EDU units through existing RF coax – no new wiring needed
- Simple Web forms for system setup
- Control presets for video and emergency paging
- Scheduling for projector power, channels, and volume
