iC Commander HD is a legacy Windows application intended for use with analog TV networks or specific HDTV applications. Presently, iC Commander is included with the Display Express PC, and is no longer sold as a separate software program.

iC Commander HD can control a wide variety of functions to all displays, a TV zone, or individual units. Events can be activated real-time or scheduled to occur on specific dates and times. Control capabilities include:

  • Simplified user control of distributed media systems
    • Quick Control panel sends commands to selected TVs, including channels, power, volume, and on-screen text
    • Preset Control panel launches pre-programmed events
    • Channel Cycle panel cycles channels in a group of TVs at a timed interval
    • Schedule panel creates and displays list of presets launched by date, time, and recurring cycle
    • Integration features allow interactive control and data “sync” with custom control systems and touch panels
  • Editing tools create database of TV groups, control commands, macros and presets
    • Groups creates named groups of networked TVs and displays
    • Macros sets up a database of TV and system control commands, analog and digital channels up to 999
    • Presets combines Groups and Macros into a single event
  • Enhanced system tools allow simplified integration with custom control systems
    • Presets can send commands to control systems
    • Data Sync shares iC Commander device, channel and preset data with system and touchpanels
    • Media Select feature in 2-way iC-Net controllers allows user to select media, then link media control to room via external control system
    • TV Control can be executed from the control system as well, using industry-standard iC-Net protocol and synced data from iC Commander
    • Ethernet or RS-232 communication allows TCP/IP network connection between AMX and Crestron control systems or the new ICE-HE Ethernet Head End
  • Exclusive iC-Net Zones allows a Zone (up to 255 TVs) or all TVs to respond instantly to a single command
  • Password-protected access allows User and Administrator level system management
